How a drop works

Six steps from an idea to tokens in every depositor's wallet. The contract enforces each one; nobody has to be trusted to do the right thing by hand.

  1. 1
    Creator

    Apply

Sign an application with the wallet you will launch from, with your X account and the day you want.

  2. 2
    Nockd team

    Get approved

The team approves wallets for a day on-chain. Each approved wallet can create one drop that day.

  3. 3
    Creator

    Create the drop

Set the token, the launch time, the pool cap (up to 4.2 ETH), a creator tax and an optional dev buy. The dev buy and launch cost are paid in this one transaction.

  4. 4
    Depositors

    Pool opens

Anyone can deposit ETH up to their share of the pool: 5% to start, more as season points grow. Deposits stay in the pool until launch.

  5. 5
    Keeper

    Launch

At the launch time, or as soon as the pool is full, the keeper launches the token on Pons with one buy for the dev and the whole pool.

    Tokens delivered

Every depositor receives their tokens, plus any ETH the buy did not use, without having to claim. The dev’s tokens go into vesting.

For creators

  • Pay nothing to apply; signing is free.
  • Your dev buy is bought at the same price as the pool, then locked at least 7 days.
  • You can cancel your own drop while nobody has deposited, and get everything back.
  • You earn 60% of the Pons creator fees and of your creator tax.

For depositors

  • You buy at launch, at the same average price as everyone else in the pool.
  • The full pool and the dev buy go in one transaction, so nobody snipes ahead of you.
  • Tokens arrive in your wallet automatically after launch.
  • If a drop is cancelled, your ETH is refunded automatically.
